Privacy policy

This policy explains what information topproviders.com ("Top Providers", "we") collects and how we use it. We've kept it short.
What we collect
When you fill out a form. Our Nominate and Get featured forms ask for things like your name, email address, and details about the provider or practice. We only receive what you type in. We also record when the form was sent, plus a one-way hashed version of your IP address, which we use to block spam and limit repeat submissions. We don't store the raw IP address.
Analytics. We use Plausible Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Plausible doesn't use cookies and doesn't collect personal information or track you across other sites. We don't use any other analytics or advertising trackers.
Cookies. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie that helps protect the site from bots. The admin area, used only by our team, uses a sign-in session.
YouTube videos. Episodes and clips are hosted on YouTube. Nothing from YouTube loads until you tap play. When you do, the video loads from YouTube, and YouTube (Google) may collect information and set cookies under Google's privacy policy. Links to Spotify, YouTube, and other sites take you to services with their own privacy policies.
How we use form submissions
We use what you send us to review nominations and feature requests and to get back to you. Submissions are stored in our database and sent to our team by email and in our internal team chat (Slack). We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Service providers
The site is built and hosted on Lovable, which also hosts our database. We also use Plausible for analytics, Slack for internal notifications, and an email delivery service to notify our team. These services process information only to run the site for us.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions as long as we need them to review and follow up, then delete them. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Your choices
Email joe@getdeardoc.com to ask what we have about you, or to have it corrected or deleted.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
